Photo Tips

1. To improve your photos use a tripod or monopod.

2. Simplify your photo to one subject, theme or idea.

3. Place the horizon line in the upper or lower third of your picture.

4. Vertical lines - avoid splitting the photo in half with vertical lines.

5. Fill the viewfinder with your subject.

6. To add depth, include foreground objects.

7. Use "S" and "C" curves within the photo draw the eye to your subject.

8. Suggest motion with diagonal lines.

9. Project unity with geometric arrangements - triangles, circles, squares.

10. Look at the edges of the viewfinder to prevent unwanted items or photo elements bleeding out of the picture.

11. Keep photographing - practice, practice, practice.
